Westside Turtle Town Snorkel
This tour departs from Ma’alaea Harbor and will cruise the beautiful and scenic West Maui coastline to one of the westside’s top snorkel locations. Turtle Town a.k.a. Mala Wharf is the first choice. Mala Wharf was once a fully functioning pier but was destroyed by hurricane Iniki and the dock pilings were scattered across the ocean floor. This created an artificial reef which is home to vast array of sea life.
Snorkel spots are determined daily by captains based on weather, swell, snorkel conditions, and many years of experience in Maui waters. If conditions are not ideal at Turtle Town you may head to Honolua Bay, Airport Beach, or Launiupoko. All of these locations offer an excellent opportunity to view the beloved Hawaiian green sea turtles, many varieties of brightly colored tropical fish, and beautiful coral reef formations.
During whale season you can frequently observe Humpback whales as they enjoy the warm Hawaiian waters if time allows! This tour segment will include expert narration about the whales and provide a “play-by-play” commentary of the whale behaviors as you view them. ** Seasonal from December to April and only if time allows.

- There is paid parking available at Maui Harbor Shops / Maui Ocean Center located at 300 Ma’alaea Road, Wailuku, HI 96793 and at the Ma’alaea Harbor around the boat slips.
- Not wheelchair accessible, can accommodate Strollers.
- Wildlife sightings, while likely, are not guaranteed
- Not recommended for travelers with heart problems or other serious medical conditions

- No refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of activity
- For groups of 6+ there are no refunds for cancellations within 72 hours of activity
- We will gladly reschedule your activity at no extra cost if changes are made prior to the 48 or 72 hour cancellation period
- Cancellations from date of booking to 48 hours before activity or for larger groups 72 hours before activity are subject to a 10% service charge
- If for some reason we are unable to confirm your reservation with the activity operator due to oversold seats or other unforeseen reasons, a full refund will be provided and you will be notified immediately to discuss alternative dates and activities
If a tour operator cancels any trip due to weather, mechanical failure, unsafe conditions, or insufficient reservations, a full refund will be provided.
