Haven’t been diving lately and want a quick scuba refresher? Dive Kauaʻi’s refresher program is the perfect way to update your dive skills and knowledge from your Open Water Diver Course before jumping back into the water.
Dive Kauai’s Refresher & ReActivate program is the perfect way to help you get your gills back if it’s been more than 1 year since your last dive or you want a few reminders or need to go over the basics, Dive Kauaʻi’s Refresher & ReActivate is personalized for you and your skill level. It’s quick, easy and a good way to prepare for your next adventure dive with Dive Kauai! This 2 tank dive in the ocean allows you to refresh your skills while enjoying the abundant marine life conducted at the shore dive site in the open ocean.
Dive Kauai’s professional PADI Instructors will cover the 5 skills deemed necessary for all certified divers to be proficient at. They will go over all of the gear and how it works as well as a detailed safety briefing to help remind you of the most important protocols when diving. Once you get in the water the first 10-15 minutes of the first dive will be practicing these necessary skills. Once you’ve successfully completed the skills it’s onto the dives!
The Refresher and ReActivate dives are exactly the same. The only difference with the ReActivate is it includes a little more in depth knowledge reviews ONLINE and after the course you will receive a NEW certification card stating that you were “ReActivated” in this year.
Any certified diver who wants a refresher with a new certification card and pre-travel update should enroll in their ReActivate Course. Dive shops appreciate seeing a more recent ReActivate date on your certification card because it means you’re ready to dive in!
All necessary scuba equipment is provided at no additional charge. Certified divers will enjoy an interesting site and marine biology orientation. Dive Kauaʻi’s detailed site briefings include an explanation of all aspects of the dive such as depth, topography, marine life and safety procedures. Dive Kauai’s marine biology briefings include fish identification along with interesting facts about endemic and rare species that may be encountered at each site. Snacks and beverages are included.
Certified Divers must bring Certification Card or Verification of Certification. Acceptable formats are either the physical card or the eCard. A photo of the card will NOT work! Guests who show up without the certification card (physical or electronic) will NOT be eligible to dive and will be considered a day of CANCELLATION and NOT eligible for a refund!!!
Recreational scuba diving and free diving requires good physical and mental health. There are a few medical conditions which can be hazardous while diving. Those who have, or are predisposed to any of these conditions, should be evaluated by a physician. The Diver Medical Participant Questionnaire provides a basis to determine if you should seek out that evaluation. If you have any concerns about your diving fitness not represented on the form, consult with your physician before diving. If you are feeling ill, avoid diving. If you think you may have a contagious disease, protect yourself and others by NOT participating in dive activities. For your safety, and that of others who may dive with you, please answer ALL questions honestly!
PLEASE NOTE: All Non-Certified Divers and Students of Certification Courses with Dive Kauai will be REQUIRED to complete this electronically on your booking confirmation. Should you feel you may need medical clearance for any of the questions on the form, please PRINT the form and submit to your physician to complete PRIOR to your dive.
Guests or staff who are feeling sick or know that they have been exposed to COVID-19 are REQUIRED to stay away. If a guest or staff member begin to show any symptoms or feel ill in anyway, they will be asked to leave the tour and their facilities.
In accordance with the KAUAI MASK MANDATE, Dive Kauai staff will be wearing face coverings when appropriate during your visit. Dive Kauai requires that everyone on their properties and locations have a face covering and use it when in close proximity to others. Failure to comply will result in the tour being cancelled and considered a day of cancellation NOT eligible for refund.
To minimize their eliminate opportunities for transmission, they have designed a limited contact check-in procedure.
Dive Kauai requests that guests please limit contact with equipment they are NOT personally using. their staff has put additional cleaning procedures in place.
Dive Kauai will NO LONGER be providing transportation for any of their tours. Guests will be responsible to use their own method of transportation to get to and from the dive site or snorkel locations. Please pre-arrange a taxi if you don’t have a rental car.
All staff are required to frequently wash their hands throughout the day. Guests are also expected to wash their hands regularly and thoroughly before, during and after activities. Dive Kauai will have hand sanitizer in all of their vehicles and on their vessels where hand washing with soap and water is not possible.
*NOTE: Alcohol-based hand sanitizers are incompatible with compressed gas, especially oxygen-enriched gas. If alcohol-based hand sanitizers are used before filling cylinders, ensure hands are completely dry and all alcohol has evaporated before touching.
It is strongly advised to ensure you use the restroom facilities at the hotel or lodging accommodations prior to arrival. The only facilities they have access to are port-o-johns at the shore dive site and public restrooms at the small boat harbor.
