Join this Private Whale Watch Excursion—the only one of its kind on Kauaʻi. This unique whale watch tour is private charter only, giving your group the full boat, dedicated crew, and a front row seat to experience the magic of humpback whales in a more intimate way.
Instead of venturing all the way to Na Pali, this tour stays closer to port; right in one of the most whale-rich areas on the island. That makes the experience shorter, more economical, and less physically demanding than our other tours. There are Three different vessels to match your group size and comfort level.
Tour Options
6-Person Power Catamaran – 6pax
For smaller groups looking for an affordable, quality option. This 24-foot vessel offers incredible front-row seats to the action. Best for small parties who want an intimate, practical vessel, perfect for a Private Whale Watching Excursion.
Deluxe Power Catamaran – 18pax
A 35-foot foil-assist power catamaran features spacious seating, generous shade, and a modern, smooth-riding hull design. It’s the ideal choice for larger groups or anyone seeking extra comfort.
Rafting Adventure – 14pax
The most adventurous option. This high-speed, low-to-the-water vessel is perfect for active groups looking for a fun ride with unobstructed marine life views. Due to the bouncy nature of the ride, this vessel is not suitable for those with back, neck, or mobility concerns.
What To Expect
Our captains specialize in finding whales and sharing captivating facts, stories, and insights along the way. With a bit of luck, you might witness a breach, a tail slap, or a close pass. When ocean conditions allow, you’ll even get to listen to the whales through our onboard Bluetooth hydrophone which is an unforgettable experience.
This tour does not travel up the Na Pali Coast. Instead, we stay in local waters known to be rich with whale activity, which allows us to maximize your time with the whales and minimize transit times.

- This is a high-speed power catamaran, not a sailing vessel.
- All guests must be in good health with no neck or back issues, recent surgeries, or pregnancies.
- Minimum age is 4 years old

What To Wear
- Swimwear incase of splashing waves
- Light jackets, windbreakers, or long-sleeve shirts are recommended as temperature and weather conditions can change unexpectedly
- Footwear – (shoes not allowed onboard). This is a barefoot tour, please wear something easy to remove such as flip-flops/sandals/thongs

- Sunscreen (spray-on cannot be applied on board)
- Cameras – be prepared with a fully charged battery and lots of room on your memory stick (trust us!)

- No refunds for cancellations within 48 hours of activity
- For groups of 6+ there are no refunds for cancellations within 72 hours of activity
- We will gladly reschedule your activity at no extra cost if changes are made prior to the 48 or 72 hour cancellation period
- Cancellations from date of booking to 48 hours before activity or for larger groups 72 hours before activity are subject to a 10% service charge
- If for some reason we are unable to confirm your reservation with the activity operator due to oversold seats or other unforeseen reasons, a full refund will be provided and you will be notified immediately to discuss alternative dates and activities
If a tour operator cancels any trip due to weather, mechanical failure, unsafe conditions, or insufficient reservations, a full refund will be provided.
