Sunset Snorkel & Whale Watch Sail
Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime family adventure, where sun, sea, and stunning sunsets come together for the perfect day on the water! Whether you’re snorkeling, whale watching, or simply soaking in the views, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Start the adventure with a snorkel in Maui’s crystal-clear leeward waters, where you might find yourself swimming alongside sea turtles, vibrant tropical fish, and colorful coral reefs. With a marine naturalist onboard, you’ll learn fascinating facts about the ocean and the incredible marine life you’ll encounter.
But that’s not all—get ready for one of Maui’s most magical experiences: whale watching! During whale season, you’ll have the unforgettable opportunity to witness humpback whales breaching, tail-slapping, and playing in the warm Hawaiian waters. There’s nothing quite like seeing these gentle giants up close, and the on-board naturalist will share incredible insights into their behaviors and migration patterns.
After exploring the underwater world, cool off and have a blast on the waterslide, adding an extra splash of fun for the whole family. As the day winds down, you’ll set sail into the horizon, where you can sit back, relax, and enjoy breathtaking views of Maui’s coastline as the sun begins to dip below the water.
**Please note: Snorkel locations, sailing, and wildlife sightings are weather-dependent and not guaranteed.

Safety Tips
Snorkeling Safety Tips
- If you can’t swim, don’t snorkel.
- Join “snorkeling 101” before getting into the water.
- Learn to use the snorkel device before venturing out. Choose a snorkel with a wide opening and no constrictions in the mouthpiece.
- Always snorkel with a buddy. Use a noodle and life jacket.
- Discuss any medical conditions with the crew and if you are under a doctors care or have had cardiac health issues, respiratory health issues, high blood pressure, mobility challenges, consult with a healthcare professional before snorkeling.
- For safety reasons, the use of full-face masks is not permitted on snorkel ecotours.
Vessel Safety Tips
- Guests need to use hand railings and step carefully when entering and exiting vessel on gangway.
- No use of spray sunscreen while on the boat.
- No standing up on benches or chairs on the vessel.
- No sitting on hand railings, tables, counters or chair backs.
- No children on shoulders.
- Always keep a free hand for a railing or other fixed part of the boat, never carry more than can be taken in one hand.
- Stay hydrated.
- No smoking or vaping of any substance.
Reccomendations
- Parents are welcome to bring a stroller onboard if it can be folded and stored during the trip. Due to the rocking nature of a vessel at sea, it is advised that parents hold small children in a seated position and ask for assistance when maneuvering about the boat.
- It is recommended that guests bring a light jacket or sweatshirt for staying warm on the vessel. Guests can be chilled after snorkeling or in the wind. For evening trips, it can be brisk and guests are welcome to bring a small blanket to stay cozy and warm.
- Snorkeling can be a strenuous and risky activity without some level of comfort in the water. Our team are certified lifeguards and well practiced at assisting guests, but we are unable to teach full swimming lessons. We encourage all guests to practice or gain comfort before their trip as all of our snorkel sites are too deep to stand up (approx. 20-35 feet deep). Guests are certainly welcome to stay on board during snorkel time if they feel uncomfortable swimming. If you are a non swimmer, this doesn’t mean you cannot snorkel. Please just understand that depending on the day and passenger count, our team members may not be able to provide one on one assistance to those that cannot independently snorkel. We do provide a lot of flotation options.
